The Farmstead

Last Saturday we met my brother, his girlfriend (Tara) and her two kids (Alena 9, Aiden 5) at The Farmstead Idaho's original corn maze. There was so much for Kael to do it was amazing. Sometimes when you go to places like that you wouldn't think a 2-year old would have that much fun, but he did. They had slides, a corn box, cow train, hay rides, a pillow jump, pig races, and more. So here a few pics to share with you our day.

FRIDAY!!

I'm so happy it's Friday. This morning Bennett had his 4 month check up and weighed in at 17lbs 3oz. and a length of 27 1/2in long. I can't believe how big he is. The only concern I had when we in there was that his goopy eye was back. But this time it wasn't a clogged tear ducked, it's PINK eye! Which means an eye drop in each eye three times a day for one week. Poor thing. But other than that he is a growing healthy boy.

Kael seems to be doing fine. Still just has a runny nose and a cough, which who doesn't these days. We just have to keep him away from Bennett for a little bit. Which is going to be hard since Kael loves his little brother and wants to hold him ALL THE TIME!! But we'll get through it and I have to be stronger than ever. It's so hard to see your little ones sick and not know how to communicate what is bothering them.

Rice cereal

Well, he had his first taste of food from a spoon. I don't have the pics, but will get them hopefully soon. Bennett seemed to like it. He did the taste, then push it out with the tongue. But for all that I gave him I think he ate maybe a few bites. Unfortunately it did not make him sleep any better. I think he hasn't been feeling very well so he is grumpy grumpy. But seems to be fine when I hold him. Goofer! We will try again tonight and he will soon get it down and then we can start some fun stuff! Praise to the Lord!

WOW!!

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord!" Psalm 127:3

Amen! What a blessing is to be able to watch them grow into real people. It is amazing how much Kael has learned in the last 2 years. From eating to crawling to walking, running, jumping, and speaking. He always concerned of where everyone is. Every morning it is "Baby sleeping, Daddy in car at work." He is so much happier being able to communicate his needs. Then you have Bennett who is laughing! He is such a happy baby. God has blessed us with beautiful boys.
