Snow Day

It snowed on Wednesday, so Josh and Kael took advantage of it and built some snowmen. I was quite impressed with the huge one the Josh did. But of course he helped Kael make a little one.

Merry Christmas!!

What a Christmas we had. We spent the night over at Josh's parents Christmas Eve. His grandparents came into town for the Holiday and how wonderful it was to have them join us. We started the day of course by opening presents. Then had a nice brunch with a table full of ham, eggs, monkey bread and crepes. After brunch Josh and I loaded up the boys and headed out to my mom's for dinner. The dinner table was full of Prime Rib, mash potatoes, corn, bread, olives and stuffing. By this point Josh and I were full. But we ended the day by staying the night over at my moms. It was a wonderful Christmas being able to spend it with all the family.

Oh where oh where has the time gone. It blows me away we are almost a week away from celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. It feels like we just celebrated the birth of Bennett. Now he will be 7 months old. Bennett is sitting on his own now, and still not eating solids. I just don't know what to do with that stubborn little one. I am just grateful he is healthy. I took him into the head doctor to make sure his head was growing correctly, and it is. Not long ago Josh and I took Kael into the cardiologist to make sure his heart was beating correctly, and it is. So we have two healthy boys that are growing on us everyday.

The Christmas season is upon us and Kael is super excited about all of it. He loves the lights on the tree and redecorating the tree every chance he gets. But we made sure we put the ornaments he couldn't hurt on the bottom. Still no presents under it though. Kael would catch on very quickly that he could open them. He loves playing with his "Little People Nativity" that Grammy and Poppy bought him last Christmas. Bennett also enjoys chewing the people. So they play very well together.

We have gone through some rough times and good times this month. But God is always in control and we continue to put our trust in him. Bashful our golden retriever past away on the 9th and that was hard, especially hearing Kael tell us he was outside. The boys and I enjoyed the "Winter garden aglow" at the Botanical Gardens, decorating the house, listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies and driving around looking at Christmas lights.
